Social Commitment
The Carnegie Sterns Foundation is a major financial component of our Firm's corporate social responsibility efforts. Firm partners fund the Foundation through annual contributions, and Carnegie Sterns employees, associates and partners can have their individual charitable contributions matched through the Foundation's employee matching program.
The Foundation has provided monetary support to charitable and law-related organizations worldwide since its founding in 1982. Each year, the Foundation supports hundreds of charitable efforts and organizations that enhance communities, including many focused on groups that improve the administration of legal services.

Areas of Support
An independent, nonpartisan membership organization providing insight and influencing public discourse on critical global issues, offering solutions to issues that transcend borders and transform how people, businesses and governments engage the world.
Provides immediate and ongoing support to the U.S. Naval Special Warfare community and its families. Donations support tragedy assistance, family events, scholarships and educational assistance, and history preservation.
Mobilizes New Yorkers to meet the community's most pressing needs, deploying a volunteer force that assists nearly half a million of the city's at-risk children, youth, seniors and families.
The Carnegie Sterns Foundation provides financial support to leading law and business schools around the country and abroad. A number of schools have used our financial gifts to fund law chairs, scholarships and public service fellows.
Schools that have received some of the Foundation's most significant gifts include the University of Chicago Law School, Columbia Law School, Harvard Law School, University of Michigan Law School, Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and Stanford Law School.
